This course covers the principles and practices of designing and building mobile applications for various platforms. Students will gain hands-on experience with user interface design, mobile programming, and deployment of apps on mobile devices.

Course Content

Mobile Apps Design and Development
This course provides a comprehensive foundation in the design and development of mobile applications across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, and cross-platform environments. Learners begin by exploring the mobile app ecosystem, development tools, and current industry trends, gaining a clear understanding of native, hybrid, and web-based applications. The course emphasizes strong UI/UX design principles, teaching students how to create intuitive mobile interfaces using industry-standard design tools, wireframes, and prototypes while following established design guidelines. Students then progress into mobile programming, learning platform-specific languages as well as popular cross-platform frameworks. Practical development skills are built through creating native and cross-platform mobile apps, managing user interactions, navigation, and local data storage. The course also covers backend integration, including APIs, authentication, and cloud services, enabling learners to connect apps to real-world services. Testing, debugging, performance optimization, and compatibility testing ensure apps meet quality standards. Finally, students learn how to deploy applications to app stores, maintain updates, and monitor performance. The course concludes with a capstone project where learners design, develop, test, and present a fully functional mobile application, applying all concepts learned throughout the course.
